Kenwood High School teachers Ms. Meehan and Ms. Alleman launched the 1st annual KHS Partners in Success Fair on April 25 in the MPR at Kenwood High School. This was a combination of a career fair and job fair; giving students the opportunity to explore career fields, explore post-secondary education, and/or apply for employment.
The event ran in sessions from 8AM – 2PM. CTE and upper classmen attended the event throughout the day. Students in attendance were able to talk with employers about future careers. Some employers were also accepting applications for summer and beyond.
Kenwood has a strong history of CTE Programs and building in opportunities for students to connect with potential employers and future career options. Throughout the school year, CTE students have been exposed to various career pathways. Just a few career exploration field trips this past year involved
students exploring athletic careers and experiencing the day-in-life of a college athlete. A group of CTE students visited Ripken Stadium to explore careers in hospitality. Other CTE students also visited Southwest Airlines and explored careers in the field of Aviation!
Kenwood’s CTE gives students a wonderful opportunity to explore their options after they fly the nest.
