Senior are in their final month of school! As they enter this final stretch there are many events lined up to celebrate this exciting milestone. Graduation is around the corner where a new generation shall advance into the world and become the next leaders. Here at Kenwood, there is the hustle and bustle of preparing to say goodbye to graduating seniors as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

Yesterday on May 1, seniors participated in the traditional senior signing day to acknowledge where students are headed next after graduation. Students who were headed off to a two year college, four year college, trade school, entering the military, or have a job lined up were recognized during the ceremony. Sixty-nine seniors participated in the event.

Over the next few weeks, there will be numerous events for seniors as they get closer to the June 9 graduation. Below is the calendar for all upcoming events. Senior Prom is one of the most anticipated senior events of high school. Ticket sales for prom just concluded at the end of April . The prom assembly will take place the morning of May 9, and Senior Prom is Friday, May 12 at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.

Seniors last few days in the school building will be Senior Finals Exam week which is May 10-May 16. The senior final exam schedule is as follows:

– 3B and 4B: 5/10

– 3A and 4A: 5/11

– 1B and 2B: 5/12

– 1A and 2A: 5/15

-Senior Make-up Exams: 5/16

With the conclusion of exams seniors will have their Senior Graduation practice and senior picnic to follow after the graduation practice on May 17. Graduation tickets will be handed out at the picnic. The evening Senior Awards Ceremony is scheduled for the evening of  May 16 and the Farewell Assembly is May 18.

The seniors final event with be graduation at 10am at SECU Arena at Towson University. Graduating seniors are excitedly looking forward to these events as the end of our thirteen year school journey comes closer. Senior Mason Hines states, “I enjoyed this school year. The friends I made, the relationship I have made, I feel accomplished. Congratulations to all seniors this year, and continue to thrive and work towards success.”
