At the mid point of the season, the boys’ soccer team had an outstanding start with a record of four wins and only one loss against Overlea High School in a very competitive game for the boys.

Some things that were challenging at the start of the year was getting back into shape and sharpening their ball skills, along with meeting new faces that joined the varsity team this year. Working on becoming a team throughout this season is something that can sometimes be challenging but necessary in having a great season!

The team is very excited for the rest of the season to come and most importantly are looking forward to play offs. Senior Jonathan Rosales says, “Playoffs will be challenging but we are certainly ready for them!”

To add to the great season they have had so far, their game against Carver was one of their best games. Their ball skills were strong during this game in order to gain the boys another big win for the books.

Senior Jonathan Rosales is enjoying his final season of KHS soccer. “This has been our best season so far; our record and stats are better,” he says.

Some of the seniors this year are sad to see the season ending so fast but are pleased with how the season is going. “I will miss practicing after school, getting to run with my peers, and getting ready to face our next opponents,” says Senior Robin Lopez.

The boys lost in the playoffs and are sad to say good bye to their season but those returning are already looking forward to coming back next season.
