Catch Kenwood’s Lady Bluebirds on the Ball Diamond

Under the leadership of Head Coach Jay, Kenwood has been preparing for a couple months focusing on strengthening both their offensive and defensive skills with the returning players and new girls. There are several younger players on the team but Coach Jay is hopeful for the future of Bluebird softball, “There are key players that are promising and rising players on and off the field academically as well. Sophomore Courtney Singleton and sophomore Zoey Lam both are looking promising to the future of Kenwood softball,” shares Coach Jay. 

Key players to watch include junior shortstop Kayla Hill, who has been a standout in previous seasons, and sophomore pitcher Courtney Singleton, known for her defensive plays as a pitcher and first basemen. Both Hill and Singleton are expected to play vital roles in the season. Versatile junior utility player Peyton Regulski has also played a big role on the ball diamond this season.

Fans are encouraged to attend and support the team; it’s a great way to enjoy the gorgeous Spring weather. You can catch the Lady Bluebirds next in action on Monday, April 28 at Western Tech and they will be at home again Tuesday, April 29 against Patapsco High. Games start at 4pm.
