It’s that time of the year when your student athletes start signing commitments to take their athletic skills to the next level.
In this past month we’ve had three KHS student athletes sign their letters of intent to play in college. On February 5, KHS football players Jaden Smith and Will Gross signed their letters of intent in Kenwood’s library.
Jaden Smith committed to playing for Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas. Kenwood’s football safety Will Gross committed to Chicago Concordia University in Chicago, Illinois. Gross plans to major in Global Business Administration.
Smith played offensive and defensive tackle for Kenwood. He plans to major in Kinesiology, the scientific study of how the body moves.

On February 21, Marciano “Mo” Kelley’s signed his letter of intent. Mo committed to William Penn University which is one of the top ranked NAIA soccer programs in the country. He plans to study finance. Mo led our soccer program this fall to an 11-2-1 record, divisional championship and an appearance in the Regional Finals.
We wish all three gentlemen luck next Fall as they take their athletic academic careers to the next level.
