Spring Began March 20
March 21, 2022
Spring began yesterday, March 20 at 11:33 am. Many people look forward to the warmer weather and longer days as the sun sets later. Daylights Savings Time went into effect last Sunday, March 13 and the sun set for the first day of Spring last night at 7:18 pm, and it’ll just keep staying light later and later until June 27, 2022-a week later than the first day of summer.
Students and teacher are both looking forward to the change of seasons. Ms. Humphreys shares, “In the Spring it’s so nice to enjoy walks, bikes, the park, and cooking on the grill. It’s so nice to be outside with friends and playing sports.”
Many enjoy getting outdoors after being inside all winter. Ms. Glenn adds, “My kids love the outdoors and I love that they run around the neighborhood or disappear down to what they call their hideout until past dark half the time. I also love reading on my deck when the weather gets nice.”
Along with the weather changes in the Spring there is also more rain. But more rain also means another favorite for some people-flowers and gardening. “Spring is really fun time of the year,” adds Ms. Humphreys. So whatever makes us excited for this of the year-Spring has officially sprung. Enjoy the season.
