November 5, 2021
Kenwood High’s upcoming playoff game is just around the corner- like literally hours away! The coaches, the players, the school, the community are all excited for the big game under the lights tonight against the Catonsville Comets. Both teams come to tonight’s game with a 5-4 record.
Coach Krumholtz, who’s been coaching the Bluebirds for eight years is looking forward to tonight’s game. He shares, “There is no quit in this team, we have had many teams the past couple years with tremendous talent, but none have had the heart that this years team has.”
Senior running back Troy Dukes is #1 in rushing yards in Baltimore County with 1298 yards and 16 touchdowns in 9 games. This is an outstanding accomplishment made possible by Kenwood’s strong offensive line of Jamal Ashley, Kalil Bailey, Cam Greaver, Dustin Frank, and Amarie Hance. “Our entire offensive line has made it possible for Troy and other ball carriers to be successful,” adds Coach Krumholtz.
Catonsville is expected to be a tough opponent but Kenwood is hopeful to come out on top. Coach Krumholtz shares, “We are expecting a tough Catonsville team, but we are also expecting to execute and do what we do. We both have the same record, but we are more battle tested then they are.” what is that record-move to the top
Kenwood is hoping for a huge crowd tonight to come cheer on our Bluebirds. The gates open at 5:15 and kickoff is at 6 pm. All tickets are $6.00 and must be purchased online here.
Coach hopes to see the biggest crowd yet in Collins Stadium tonight. “We need the biggest crowd Kenwood has ever seen! We need a level of energy from the crowd we’ve never had before. Catonsville will travel well; they will have fans here… our fans have to show them whose house it is!”
