It’s been an exciting opening athletic season for Kenwood Sports this fall. Here are some top highlights from the gym to out on the field of Bluebird nation.

Near-Perfect Volleyball Heads to Playoffs

The varsity girls’ volleyball team is headed to the playoffs after a near-perfect regular season.

The Bluebirds boast a 14-1 record, a hot streak that has kept members of the Kenwood community on the edge of their seats. The team’s only loss came during the final game of the season when the Bluebirds took on Owings Mills.

The team’s playoff season starts the week of Nov. 5.

Other fall sports highlights:

  • Varsity Field Hockey finished with a 5-5 regular season record.
  • Congrats to Jalen Demarui for playing very well in the district and county golf championships!
  • Badminton doubles team Cassidy Brinegar and Maison McCafferty have had a great season on the badminton court.
  • Cross Country runner Darien London has been a standout this season.
  • Allied Soccer had their annual stadium game on Oct 23.
  • Cheerleading is getting ready for their post season competitions on Oct 30 and Nov 2.
